Delanie Ferguson is an Associate Attorney at Assalone Lombardi Lawyers for Justice , where she assists clients going through deeply personal and difficult legal challenges within family law. As a former crisis counselor at a local domestic violence center, Delanie has several years of experience working closely with those who’ve experienced domestic violence, discrimination, and other forms of violence. To date, she’s worked with a wide demographic of clients with varying backgrounds and experiences, each of whom have helped prepare her for current work in law.

Delanie’s approach to representation leads with empathy. Her goal is to create a safe, judgement-free space where her clients feel comfortable disclosing details of their legal issue and the unique experiences that have brought them to her office. She recognizes that the complexities of each client’s case vary and are often influenced by circumstance and culture. Utilizing active listening techniques and employing a unique approach to each client, she aims to foster an environment where all feel welcome, safe, and supported, particularly individuals in the LGBTQI+ community.

To date, her professional accomplishments include working for a non-profit family law clinic in her hometown, where she empowered low-income individuals to file for divorce and advocate for themselves throughout the legal process. Additionally, she taught Street Law to high school students, working to equip the next generation with a solid understanding of the law that they can use to advocate for themselves and others.

Outside of the office, Delanie enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking, and spending as much time as she can at the beach (rain or shine).
